- MCI - Koyo’s distributor in Italy- participated in the 41st edition of EIMA International on 12-16 November in Bologna, Italy. EIMA is an important fair for the agriculture and groundskeeping technologies. With a record number of visitors of more than 230.000 it is considered as an important event in a world of increasing agricultural mechanization.

The main Koyo products and technologies for state-of-the-art Agritechnical applications were shown at the MCI booth, alongside other brands that are represented by our distributor.

During September Koyo (UK) Ltd took part in a customer trade fair for our distribution partner ‘Cromwell’.

Qu’est-ce qu’un roulement à contact oblique?

Un roulement à contact oblique possède des pistes décalées axialement entre la bague intérieure et extérieure. L’angle de contact sur la piste intérieure est le même que celui sur la piste extérieure. Les roulements à contact oblique supportent mieux les charges combinées (charges radiales et axiales) et l'angle de contact du roulement doit être adapté en fonction du rapport charge radiale / charge axiale. Plus l’angle de contact est important (généralement compris entre 10 et 45 degrés), plus la charge axiale supportée est importante, mais la charge radiale supportée diminue. Dans les applications à haute vitesse, comme les turbines, les moteurs à réaction et l'équipement dentaire, la force centrifuge générée par les billes modifie l'angle de contact au niveau des pistes des bagues intérieures et extérieures. Les céramiques comme le nitrure de silicium sont maintenant régulièrement utilisées dans ces applications en raison de leur faible densité (40% de celle de l’acier). Ces matériaux réduisent significativement la force centrifuge et peuvent fonctionner dans des environnements aux températures élevées. Ils ont également un mode d’usure similaire à l’acier, plutôt que de se fissurer ou de se briser comme le verre ou la porcelaine.
La plupart des 2 roues utilisent des roulements à contact oblique au niveau de la fourche en raison des charges appliquées sur ce roulement qui sont à la fois radiales et axiales.
